A YEAR OF DOILIES

I went to Micheal's a few years ago. While I was there I found this pattern book of doilies.



So I found the book and started a doily. I am doing the January doily.



Except I am doing my doily in orange instead of white.

AFGHANS

Yesterday I dug out some of the afghans I have been working on this past year. I have them all in boxes with the color of thread taped to the top. That way I know which one is in the box without taking the lids off. Anyway, several of them are done and several are kind of done and then again some of them will never be done. For one thing, the thread I was using, I bought at Hobby Lobby. And guess what, the Hobby Lobby closed last fall. So, no more Hobby Lobby. I was so upset they closed our Hobby Lobby!!!! The closest one to me now is 50 miles away, and with gas so high, I can't be making a 50 mile trip to buy yarn.
So I guess I'll rip out those and put them into my Granny Square blanket I am making for my bed. I also have a baby afghan I made. It's all done!! And the black one is done, I made it for my son, and the final one is a Christmas color afghan. It's done as well.

LYON BRAND CROCHET - ALONG

Well, I got two rows of the Crochet - Along done. I don't really like the way this is going together. And on top of that, I think I have two different colors of yarn in this afghan. It's very subtle, but in the light you can see it really good. And I think I have some of the blocks and rows sewed together backwards. I may have to rip this all out and start over. What do you think??? Here are the photos taken at three different angles. Can you see the difference??

CROCET-ALONG

Well, I worked on the afghan for the Crochet-along at Lyon brand yarn. I have 4 blocks done.
The blocks are from top to bottom. Block 1, Block 2, Block 3.

YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS DOILY

I got this beautiful doily pattern at Annie's Attic. I have stared it, but haven't gotten very far on it as you can see. Have gotten the center rose done and several of the leaves. Haven't worked on it much this summer. Been toooooo hot!!!

HATS AND SCARVES

I made these hats and scarves for all my family for Christmas gifts a couple years ago. Everyone liked them. We all got together for a photo. There are sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces in this photo.
